Last weekend I went with Juris and my good friend Cindy to Cypress Mountain for a day of skiing! The ski hill is only a 30 minute drive from my place. We packed up our newly purchased second hand gear that Juris helped us pick out . I think my whole package of skis boots bindings and poles was about $200 which is a steal.(Check out my 'Transformer' skis)

Juris was an excellent teacher and had Cindy and me off the bunny slope and onto the real runs in less than an hour. I havent skied for about 8 years but I was amazed how much I actually remebered.

The day was really nice : it wasnt too cold and it was snowing heavily. We all the the right gear on ...no cold fingers or toes.

Im hoping to go up as much as possible this year and try to improve as much as i can this year so I have good confidence for next year. Hey maybe i have time to make the Olympic Team for 2010!!
